Asset provenance
A 109-row provenance audit and reviewed runtime candidate contact sheet informed the accepted asset record.
Symposium Studios / Development record
This is the retained development trail for a small, deterministic puzzle room: its promise, constraints, revisions, accepted evidence, and the limits it does not hide.
The original promise
Borrowed Motion started as a puzzle about local, finite transfers. The target was a room where a player can see what is stalled, transfer a bounded resource, and understand why the next event follows.
The final room is Tea Counter: a fan donates one time beat to a lift; a cart donates one rightward motion pulse; the lift delivers one cup to a hatch. A bell demonstrates a valid but stalled branch.
Chronology
Defined a causal puzzle built around finite local transfers—not unlimited rewind or direct character control.
Separated time beats from directional motion pulses; made preview non-authoritative and event order authored.
Turned the broad idea into one warm teal, brass, and cream Tea Counter diorama.
Replaced incompatible audio, completed per-file provenance, and corrected opaque-versus-alpha asset truth.
Made the full resolved event chain readable and exercised the shared mouse/touch point-input seam.
Removed an accidental two-cup composition and stabilized settled evidence captures.
Recorded normal, bell-stall, and reduced-motion journeys; validated the local story; completed the final audit.
Evidence, not atmosphere
The acceptance record is desktop-only and specific. Nothing here substitutes for a device run, release review, or player study.

A 109-row provenance audit and reviewed runtime candidate contact sheet informed the accepted asset record.

Normal, bell-stall, and reduced-motion desktop mouse-input journeys were recorded alongside deterministic suites.

Gate 7 corrected the two-cup composition and sampled settled frames for reproducible final captures.

git diff --check.Boundary and next decision
This completed slice does not prove iOS/device behavior, physical haptics, Apple signing, App Store readiness, legal title clearance, public release, player response, sales, or operating metrics.
The next human-led decision is whether to fund a separately scoped iOS/device and title-clearance track, or retain Borrowed Motion as a desktop-evidenced portfolio prototype.
